About

Insectorama is a labor of love, a 2D top-down game where the objective is to throw your character to defeat all enemies on each screen, progressing through levels and obtaining upgrades to aid your journey. This is still an alpha version, so some things can and will change.

Controls

To start moving, place your finger on the character and drag it in the desired direction. This action will consume one of your shots and cause the character to move in that direction until it hits a wall or an enemy. Upon impact, the character will bounce off in another direction. The character will gradually lose speed until it comes to a stop or defeats an enemy.

Free Shot

When your character defeats an enemy, they enter "Free Shot" mode. During this brief period, the game slows down, giving you more time to react, then can aim again by dragging to change the character's direction, providing an additional burst of speed. Use "Free Shot" strategically to navigate tricky areas and defeat more enemies!

Development and plans

I plan to publish the game on the Play Store with minimal ads, so any donation and feedback is greatly appreciated.

A Steam version may be made if the game does well.

The game will have four stages, each featuring unique enemies and bosses. More upgrades will be added, along with unique characters that have vastly different play styles.
